NOTICE: BY AUTHORIZING SERVICE, YOU ARE WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS TO RECOVER DAMAGES AS OUTLINED BELOW.
1. Authorization & Operations
Service Authorization: Client authorizes Round Rock Window Tinting LLC (RRWT) to perform described services and grants permission for the operation of the vehicle on streets or elsewhere for purpose of pick-up, testing, or delivery.
Payment: Full payment is due upon completion and prior to vehicle release.
Mechanic's Lien: An express mechanic's lien is acknowledged to secure all amounts due for services rendered. Pursuant to the Texas Property Code, Company reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all charges are settled.
Repossession: Vehicle is subject to repossession per Texas law if payment is dishonored.
Storage Fees: Vehicles not picked up within 24 hours of notification may incur a $50.00/day storage fee.
2. General Liability & Risk Waivers
Maximum Liability: Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service rendered.
Mechanical/Component Failure: RRWT is not responsible for the failure of brittle or aged parts—including door panels, interior/exterior window trim, plastic clips, window regulators, or door handles—occurring during normal handling or service.
Electronics & ADAS: RRWT is not liable for battery drain or interference with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) resulting from film or electrical installs. While we protect dash-mounted sensors and Autopilot electronics during installation, Company is not responsible for pre-existing faults or recalibration needs.
Personal Property: RRWT is not responsible for loss or damage to cars or articles left in cars in case of fire, theft, or causes beyond our control.
Removals: RRWT is not liable for damage to defroster lines, antennas, glass, paint, or surrounding window trim during the removal of old film, badges, or decals.
Media Release: RRWT may use photographs/video of the property for publicity, advertising, and web content.
Immediate Inspection Requirement: Customer must inspect vehicle and report physical damage to the vehicle's body or interior before leaving the shop premises. Claims made after the vehicle has been left the facility will not be honored.
3. Window Tint & Windshield Terms
The "Wet" Process: Tinting is a wet application process. Absolute elimination of minor airborne dust or contamination is technically impossible. Pre-existing debris (such as pet hair, dust, or lint) may affect the final result.
Curing: Do not roll down or clean windows for 3-5 days; full cure may take 3-4 weeks depending on weather.
Dot Matrix: Ceramic dotted edges are thick on most cars; film will not stick between dots, resulting in an unavoidable whitish strip.
Electronics: Client must disclose hidden electronics. Do not use audio systems for 12 hours post-install to allow moisture to dry.
No Refunds: No refunds due to look or color once installed. Warranty work uses original grade/shade.
Polarized Iridescence: High-performance nano-ceramic films may exhibit a "prism" or "rainbow" effect when viewed through polarized sunglasses. This is a natural optical interaction between the lens and the multi-layered film technology; it is not a defect and does not constitute a warranty claim.
Windshields: Minor imperfections are present in every install. Do not apply decals or attachments (e.g., dashcams, radar detectors) for 7 days.
State Law & Legal Limits: Installation of Visible Light Transmission (VLT) not approved by Texas State law releases RRWT from all liability. Any window tint installation that falls outside the legal limit is performed strictly at the client's request for off-road/show use only and carries NO WARRANTY whatsoever.
Compliance & Mirrors: RRWT will apply a State-mandated compliance sticker to the driver’s side window as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety. If the rear window is tinted, Texas law requires the vehicle to be equipped with both left and right side mirrors.
4. Paint Protection Film (PPF)
Nature of Product: PPF is an 8-mil sacrificial layer for protection, not a completely invisible layer.
Warranty: 10-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, or delamination. Does not cover accidents or projectile penetration.
Condition: Cannot be applied over ceramic coatings. Install over existing paint chips will show as contamination.
Non-Factory Surface Disclosure: RRWT is not liable for paint lifting on non-factory or repainted surfaces. Clients must disclose if the vehicle has had paint work or body repairs within the last 90 days.
Exclusions: No warranty for track-driven or off-road vehicles.
5. Ceramic Coating & Paint Correction
Curing: 10 days to fully cure; 4 hours to dry. Do not wash until curing is complete.
Maintenance: Hand wash only. Machine or tunnel washes void all warranties. Ceramic Coating is a low-maintenance solution, not a substitute for PPF; it does not protect against rock chips or deep scratches.
Water Spots: RRWT is not liable for water spot damage from unfiltered water or sun exposure.
Paint Correction: While correction removes most light marks, some scratches or swirls may remain.
Wet Sanding: Used only as an alternative to repainting. RRWT assumes no responsibility for damage caused by wet sanding.
6. Legal Provisions
6.1 SMS Policy: By providing your phone number, you consent to receive service-related updates and marketing via SMS. Reply STOP to opt-out. Carrier rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed messages.
6.2 Venue: Any legal dispute shall be governed by Texas law and resolved exclusively in Williamson County, TX.
6.3 Limitation of Liability: RRWT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the performance of its services.
6.4 Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
